Location: Vivergo Fuels Bioethanol plant – Saltend, Hull
Requirement
Elliott Hire beat of stiff competition to win the contract to supply blast resistant, fire-rated, toxic refuge shelters in the first phase of the site transport project. This is part of the integration of the new £200 million site, which will convert 1 million tonnes of wheat into Bioethanol and animal feed each year.
The VMA (Vehicle Marshalling Area) Building: (202mba)
The VMA building contains an induction room for drivers, administration area, toilets and kitchen and is designed to be a refuge for up to 40 people for up to an hour in the event of a toxic release.
The G2 (Gatehouse 2) Building: (156mba)
The G2 building contains areas for the control of both inbound and outbound traffic. It has toilet and kitchen facilities and is a refuge for 30 people for up to an hour.
Result
These are highly engineered, high profile, high specification buildings which are located at the main entrance and are the first buildings that all visitors interact with when approaching the site. These portable buildings are bespoke sale items, built to the client’s exacting specifications
