Primary School Building - Lochgelly
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions was commissioned by Fife Council for the construction of a new hall and classroom facility at St. Patricks Primary School in Lochgelly, Fife.
The new building comprises new PE and games hall accommodation with ancillary facilities including changing rooms, storage, toilets and teaching areas, along with all associated external ground works and
incoming services.
The new building was constructed alongside the existing primary school and was designed in accordance with the existing Victorian structure to allow the building to fit in with the local surroundings.
The school remained in live operation throughout the construction process and Elliott Off-Site ensured that there was the appropriate security and health and safety provision in place. This ensured the wellbeing of
school children, staff and parents/visitors to the site was maintained at all times.
The building was constructed using Elliott Off-Site’s hybrid building system with concrete ground floor slab and an iconic pitched roof structure. The timber external cladding ensured a modern feel and the internal fit out was to a high specification.
The bespoke nature of this project made it ideally suited to Elliott Off-Site’s Modern Methods of Construction, resulting in a very high quality building delivered in a rapid timescale.
