Modular Office Accommodation
Main Drivers/Constraints
Veolia were looking for a new building to replace their existing aging head office but wanted something that looked more prestigious.
They had steered away from a traditional build due to time constraints, they wanted to keep time off site to a minimum as they were having to rent office space elsewhere whilst construction took place. Therefore they looked towards an offsite construction.
Project Information
The building was constructed using thirty four 9.6m long modules over two storeys with a longer 12m module creating a lobby area, brick slip cladding was applied to the ground floor with horizontal cedar cladding to the first floor. Dark grey polyester powder coated windows of varying sizes were then used to break up the elevation of the building.
Internally the building was taped, seamed and painted and all ceilings were suspended with services running through the void to move away from the modular feel. All fixtures and fittings were of a very high quality with all restrooms containing vanity units and enclosed cisterns
Benefits/Key Features
With the aesthetics of the building being high priority we worked closely with the client producing a building with brick/ cedar cladding, a pitched roof, large windows were used to create a light airy building. Internally glass partitions were used to give an open plan feel and suspended ceilings were used throughout.
