Solution to shortfall in school places

A report by the National Audit Office warns that an extra 256,000 school places will be required in England and Wales by 2014. By September 2014 the estimated 256,000 primary and secondary school places will be needed to meet growing demand, of which 240,000 places are required in primary schools, and more than a third (37%) of those are needed in the London area alone.
