Elliott Off-Site to Design and Build New Two-Storey 6-Classroom Block at Slough Grammar School
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions has been commissioned by Slough Grammar School in conjunction with Calfordseaden architects for the design and build of a new stand-alone two-storey classroom block at the School in Berkshire.
The new facility will include six classrooms all designed to Building Bulletins. All classrooms will be off a main corridor with a staircase to the East side of the building. The building will be constructed utilising Elliott’s hybrid building system which combines steel frame and timber wall panels with concrete floors. External cladding will be masonry and cedar.
The new facility and increased classroom capacity is required to be completed by March 2012 to secure the funding available. The Elliott Off-Site team has presented a 20-week programme which achieves this objective from the receipt of planning approval in early November.
