Elliott Off-Site to Design and Construct New Oakland Medical Centre
13th January 2011
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions has been commissioned by a private GP practice to design and build a new three-storey Oakland Medical Centre in London Borough of Hillingdon. The 800m2 medical centre will include a range of consulting rooms, treatment rooms, administration, waiting areas, staff offices, circulation and ancillary facilities
The building will be constructed utilising the Elliott Off-Site hybrid steel and timber frame method of construction. The external finish will include red facing brickwork to the ground floor and Sto render to the remaining elevations. The roof includes a second floor space for future expansion and has dormer windows as feature within the tiled roof. The entrance to the North West elevation includes a large glazed area leading into reception and access to all floors by stairs and a passenger lift.
The project is due to start on site in February 2012 and will be occupied in Summer 2012 with a 30-week timescale for completion.
