Lead, develop and operate the technical digital marketing infrastructure, innovation and performance, measurement and reporting, for inbound and outbound channels.

Key Success Factors

• Proactively integrating into the Marketing team and building relationships with other colleagues and suppliers •
Understanding analytics systems for producing management reports
Successful implementation of all planned digital marketing activities (on time, on budget) • Identifying areas for immediate improvement and proactively making recommendations about these.
Medium Term
• Fully understand digital marketing activity performance and have developed a full set of metrics and performance benchmarks for all channels • A clear plan of priorities to improve performance in 2023 and beyond, including martech additions required Engaged colleagues, so receiving regular insights and feedback to assist improvements
Lead agency relationships and performance management

Recommend how digital strategy, systems and the team need to develop, producing sound business cases for recommmendations

Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in developing the marketing strategy in line with company objectives •
Lead digital marketing planning and innovation
Continuously improve digital marketing performance • Work with the digital and web development agencies to continuously develop website functionality, content, SEO performance, customer experience and conversion rates • Work with the digital agency, Group Data Science and company Salesforce CRM teams to develop systems integrations functionality and provide frequent, relevant analytics data to inform Marketing KPI reports and development plans. • Responsible for delivering agreed email programmes on time and to expected quality standards • Analyse email campaign performance, recommend and implement improvements based on results • Responsible for social media operations - ensuring quality content is posted frequently to agreed objectives, to assist brand development • Competently operate major software platforms – Google Analytics, Hotjar and SEMRush web analytics, Hubspot marketing automation, Salesforce CRM, Social Media scheduling and monitoring tools, SurveyMonkey & Mailchimp, LiveChat, Showpad. • Manage existing and procured contact database usage and quality maintenance to ensure that digital campaigns are based on quality data, to be as effective as possible. • Manage the sourcing and maintenance of freephone numbers and usage reports, ensuring visibility of call volumes and service responses at all times. • Ensure processes and communications comply with current privacy and preferences legislation, including GDPR. • Where appropriate, create and update customer-specific digital channels in line with service level agreements • To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of the Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions.

Experience in a technical digital marketing role essential
Proactive and results (data) orientated with a continuous improvement mindset and drive
Customer-focused - a desire to improve experiences for customers
Good knowledge of digital marketing channels and relevant metrics
Understanding of marketing technology interactions and integrations
Strong data management and analysis skills
In-depth SEO knowledge and skills
Excellent marketing automation platform operation skills (Hubspot experience an advantage)
Multiple projects management capability and good time management
Salesforce CRM experience an advantage
Good influencing and interpersonal skills
Building and operating metrics reports
