Modular Nursery & Crèche Buildings
Specialist care and catering facilities for babies and infants
Elliott has developed a range of modular classroom solutions specifically designed for nurseries and crèches, as education facilities, which comply with guidelines laid down by the Department of Social Services, Department of Education and Health and Safety requirements.
We hold a large stock of readily available modular classroom building solutions which means your new nursery or crèche can be ready within days.
All our nursery and crèche education facilities comply with current building regulations and national day care standards.
There are different standard space requirements for babies and varying ages of infants. In addition, consideration will need to be given to the specialist care and catering facilities that are to be provided in a safe nursery environment in order to comply with these guidelines.

Mayfield Primary Academy
Operating as a 315 place 1.5-form entry school complete with a 26 place nursery, the existing buildings stood as a time-served ‘CLASP’ system which were in a poor state of repair, and inefficiently configured. The existing school buildings were located to the centre of the site which limited the capacity for external play and team sports. The strategic vision for the new facility, delivered through the Education Funding Agency’s (EFA) Priority School Building Programme (PSBP), was to increase the pupil intake to 420 as a 2-form entry with 30 nursery places. The scheme required the new school to stay on the site of the existing facility, with the existing pupils decanting into temporary facilities.Find out more
Hilderthorpe Primary Academy
The school was in need of refurbishment of the majority of its building elements, including very substantial re-roofing, replacement of windows and external doors, concrete and brickwork repairs, toilet refurbishments, extensive electrical and mechanical services work. The school’s asbestos management plan also identified a significant presence of asbestos-containing material. Due to the size of the building and the scale of the works required it was considered best value for money to provide a new build and demolish the existing facility.Find out more
