Elliott were contacted by the London Borough of Richmond as they had an urgent requirement for temporary classrooms. We utilised buildings which were immediately available in our standard rental fleet.
Elliott explored several options to satisfy the requirements identified by the client, concluding with 2 single storey double classrooms.
This solution was presented to London Borough of Richmond by Elliott and Summers Inman whilst also undertaking a logistics and installation survey, after which it was decided a two storey solution was preferred.
This package included an external staircase for access, groundworks, service connections steps and ramps for DDA compliant access and escape routes.
Elliott acted as Principal Contractor on the scheme, managing the full process.
The first phase was completed 17 days after the initial enquiry.
Following the successful completion of the first phase, the London Borough of Richmond requested a further four classrooms in the same layout and design.
In addition, a replacement music block was required on site, which was also completed within the same 5 weeks.
In addition to the temporary accommodation, Elliott also provided Anti-Vandal secure containers for onsite storage.
All of the phases were completed within 5 weeks of the initial order.
