Elliott beat off stiff competition to win the contract to supply blast resistant, re-rated, toxic refuge shelters in the first phase of the site transport project. This is part of the integration of the new £200 million site, which will convert 1 million tonnes of wheat into Bioethanol and animal feed each year.
The VMA (Vehicle Marshalling Area) Building: (202mba)
The VMA building contains an induction room for drivers, administration area, toilets and kitchen and is designed to be a refuge for up to 40 people for up to an hour in the event of a toxic release.
The G2 (Gatehouse 2) Building: (156mba)
The G2 building contains areas for the control of both inbound and outbound traffic. It has toilet and kitchen facilities and is a refuge for 30 people for up to an hour.
