Elliott were contracted by Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds to design and build fully furnished welfare and office accommodation, leased over a 260 week period. As Principal Contractor, Elliott managed the full turnkey solution.
This project, located on the former Herring site, was required whilst long term maintenance work was completed on offshore wind turbines.
The building was to be installed onto the concrete base of a previously demolished building, Elliott undertook a full ground investigation and report including structural engineer designs to establish the complex foundation solution and service connections required.
The first building consisted of 10 bays, erected over two floors. On the ground floor, a large locker room, shower room with cubicles, drying room, plant room, male WC and a separate female welfare area.
The first floor housed a large canteen area and a separate quiet area. The floors are connected by an internal staircase. The second building, a 5 bay office, consisted of a large hot desk area, project office, a private office for Project Managers, permit office, kitchenette and 2 unisex toilets.
Elliott received an outstanding NPS Score of 90 for this project.
